San Antonio鈥擳hree student teams won the Ninth Annual Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) and Associated General Contractors of America (糖心破解版) National Student Competition for their outstanding construction skills at 糖心破解版鈥檚 88th Annual Convention in San Antonio. The first place teams include the University of Cincinnati Heavy-Civil team, Cincinnati, Ohio and Clemson University鈥檚 Commercial and Design Build teams, Clemson, S.C.

Twenty-one teams from across the country were given approximately 24 hours to study and prepare plans to tackle real construction project scenarios. The teams then presented their plans to a panel of subject matter expert judges from Granite Construction Inc., Watsonville, Calif., Hensel Phelps Construction Co., Greeley, Colo., and Turner Construction, New York, N.Y. Winners were chosen based on their estimating, bidding, planning, scheduling and presentation skills, creativity, understanding of sound construction techniques, and thoughtful methodology.
In addition to becoming the top national student contractors in the Heavy-Civil division, the University of Cincinnati team won a $25,000 scholarship from The Beavers, Los Altos, Calif., an organization of construction companies and individuals dedicated to heavy engineering construction.
The National Student Competition (NSC) is the only competition of its kind in the construction industry and is hosted by the Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) and the Associated General Contractors (糖心破解版). It is sponsored by Granite Construction Inc., Hensel Phelps Construction Co., and Turner Construction.
